donate vehicles | find vehicles | questionnaire
Together with our partner Carolina Biodiesel, we proudly promote clean, renewable biodiesel fuel. Carolina Biodiesel distributes fuel, but people need vehicles that use the fuel. That’s where our donation and vehicle finder programs come in.
donate vehicles
We accept donations of vehicles for conversion to and reselling as biodiesel vehicles. Donate your vehicle to us, and you get a tax deduction, the assurance that you’re helping promote clean alternative fuel, and the knowledge that the sale of your vehicle will help benefit our environmental programs.
find vehicles
We can help you locate the biodiesel or straight vegetable oil (SVO) vehicle of your dreams. We will search far and wide for just the right car to fit your driving needs.
Both new and used cars are available at cost plus a finder’s fee of $500 or 15% of the vehicle’s sale price, whichever is lesser.
Fill out the questionnaire below to help us figure out out what kind of car you want.
You can start shopping around or we can start looking for you. We have lots of folks looking for us, and often we have cars in our posession readyfor sale.
Converting a pre-1994 vehicle to run biodiesel is simply changing fuel
lines possibly injector gaskets, and the fuel filter. That’s it. We can sell
you a car as-is, or prepped and ready to go, or we can have one of our mechanics work with you after the purchase.
Cars made after 1994 generally require no upfitting; just change the fuel filter after
a couple of hundred gallons of Biodiesel.
Once you have your car, you’ll want to join the Piedmont Biodiesel Coop for $50; this gets you access to the several biodiesel filling stations in the Triangle Tank Trail.
Then we will be happy to set you up to use the Hillsborough tank. It’s easy.
For our car finder service, a $500 refundable deposit is required. We will consult with you until you have your
dream car and are making everyone envious of your cool, clean machine.
