The Forest Foundation plans to attend the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, Feb. 10-20, and participate in environmental actions, protesting the United States’ position on climate change and the Kyoto Treaty.

The purpose of the event was to match programs in Africa with major corporations as mutual market able efforts for each group. The Forest Foundation (TFF) exhibited at this year’s first, annual Green Festival in Washington, DC. on September 18th and 19th at the Washington Convention Center. The Festival is coordinated by Global Exchange and Co-op America, two progressive non-profits who started the highly successful Green Festival project in 2002 in San Francisco.

The Forest Foundation will be hosting Valentine, the tribal leader of the Macushi Indians, who has been invited to participate in events surrounding the official opening of the Smithsonian Institute’s Museum of the American Indian in September in both Washington, DC and New York, NY.
