Wednesday, September 10th, 2003From December 6th - 8th, The Forest Foundation, a Durham-based organization, was invited to participate in the African Growth and Opportunities Act Forum in Washington, D.C. The controversial AGOA legislation was passed during the Clinton Administration to assist in economic development of Africa and to address the growing crises in HIV-AIDS and underdevelopment of the continent.
